One of those sounds that is hard to find throughout the rest of his catalogue IMO.

R.I.P. Mark Volman. The Flo and Eddie era of the Mothers is one of my favorites. Lots of great moments between Mark and Howard.

I love Genius in France. He nails it. I’ve been a big Zappa fan since right before he died. There’s eras and releases that I don’t much care for but I love the earl stuff into the 70’s with a passion. I caught one of the Zappa Players bands (not Dweezil) opening for King Crimson and it was pretty dope. Excellent version of Village of the Sun sticks in my mind.
I saw The Zappa Band with King Crimson too. Village was really good.

They’re teasing a Bongo Fury box set! Always wondered if it was possible. Not sure where it stood rights-wise due to Beefheart.
Blown away by this. According to them its 80% unreleased. There’s some songs on here that have never been released generally. Very exciting news.

Someone on eBay is selling the original sheet music for this song. Apparently from Herb Cohen’s collection. One of my favorites.
