I’ve never seen him with the Bad Seeds, but it will be transcendental for sure!

Happened to be visiting some friends in the north east before my semester started and was able to make it into the Energy Curfew Music Hour with Chris Thile last Saturday when Billy Strings was the special guest. <400 capacity room. Incredible music. Magical night.

I just ordered my ticket for Iggy Pop in July. Might be the last chance to see him live and I don’t want to miss out on that. Really looking forward to it. He’ll be 78 years old then and for sure suffers pain if you just look at his body, but still so much energy on stage, incredible.
Happy to see one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century (although he should be way bigger than he ever got to be).

You make a good point about Iggy but looks like no Denver dates :disappointed:

The lady and I have Kiltro on Valentine’s Day at Meow Wolf, been trying to see them for a while now.

My earliest Red Rocks show in years will be L’Imperitice in April. I was unfamiliar with their work until the show got announced and I’m stoked for that.

Cursed lighting at the Geordie Greep show in Philly (1/14/25).

I don’t have tickets for anything (except two basketball games), but I do plan on seeing Trey Anastasio solo in Boston next month. Need to see if I can get something for face.

I’ve just seen Jim O’Rourke over 2 nights which was amazing, easily my favourite musician so it was great to finally see him live (and meet him twice! really lovely bloke).

I caught The Jesus Lizard on their reunion tour last month, and I’ve got Justice coming up on Wednesday night and Kim Deal in March.

Shows I have tickets for: Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Nils Frahm, Deafheaven. Very much looking forward to all three. I’ve seen them all before and they all put on incredible shows in very different ways.

Shows I may get tickets for: Alcest, Russian Circles, Natalia Lafourcade, Ichiko Aoba, Refused, Nine Inch Nails

Lately I’ve been getting into more electronic music. Last night I listened to Cosmic Game by Thievery Corporation.
I’m putting together a long playlist for a 2 person psychedelic rave. Obviously KG is predominant so far but I’m open to other additions.

Kraftwerk are touring US and Europe this year. If you can catch them, go for it!

I caught Negative Approach, Circle Jerks and Descendents last Friday. I only really knew Negative Approach by reputation, but the other two I was a huge fan of as a teenager so I was stoked to finally see them live. It was a really great show!

Then I saw Limp Bizkit the next night. Shit on Fred Durst all you want, a Limp Bizkit show is a hell of a thing. I’m now genuinely really looking forward to catching them again on their next tour if I can.

No more gigs from now until Gizz EU residencies! Hope to see some of you there in Lisbon and Barcelona!

Update: I now have tickets for Phish on June 22 (Manchester, NH) and Steven Wilson on September 29 (Boston). Another show I’m interested in seeing is Pigeons Playing Ping Pong (w/ the Infamous Stringdusters and Melt) on May 29 in Hampton Beach, but I’m waiting to see if I can get a ticket for cheap. Hopefully LiveNation does that special promotional deal again.

[but wait… this isn’t a jam band forum]

If you are a Phan and Reprise comes around where you live, catch 'em. I saw them play 4/3/98 at Soundcheck in Pembroke, MA on Thursday. Very phun. They are talented.

On another note, I was very glad I caught Jack White when he played Boston a few months ago. He brought it.

Lastly, strong rec on Sturgill Simpson. If you’re not famliar, you probably think of him as a country act, but that’s the tip of the iceberg. He is absolutely a jam act. Played over 3 hours straight, no break, and the constant dipping in and out of a canon of rock standards was epic (I might have been the only one in attendance who immediately recognized Ween’s A Tear for Eddie when he dipped in and out there). Going to catch him every time he comes around now.
