Other than Gizz that is. So far all I have is Flaming Lips at Stern Grove in SF. Its an afternoon show, which will be interesting for the Flaming Lips. Still considering a few other shows, but after 10 Gizz shows, 3 Phish, plus a few others this year, I probably need to chill a bit.

Got tickets for Mondo Drag for their hometown show in Oakland, that’s it for this month. I’m also at the point of needing to chill and recharge.
Saw Big Thief at Red Rocks yesterday, somehow topped the last time I saw them. Quiet month for me coming up though.

saw boygenius earlier this month, and catching Flaming Lips later this month and taking my mama to see Linsey Stirling the day after Flaming Lips. Seeing the one and only Bonnie Raitt a few days into September.

Haven’t seen Leah Senior live in about 6 years so I’m most keen for that! Not sure if its with the full band, but I think the show will have developed a lot.
The Lazy Eyes are like the biggest new Psych band in Australia (and die-hard Gizz fans) so that will be interesting. And The Slingers are the newest band on Flightless Records too, so good opportunity to keep up with what’s going on there when you can, because theres not much haha.

One of their songs sounds just like king gizzard. It almost sounds identical in the beginning and in some parts of it.

Just saw Baby Metal and Dethklok. Great show but Dethklok’s light were overwhelming, which is not something I say lightly lol.
All In Fest in Indy this weekend Tenacious D, JRAD, TAB, Eggy, Trombone Shorty, Greensky Bluesgrass, Andy Frasco: Gonna be great.
Next weekend The Mars Volta and Oh Sees. Wanted to go to Royal Blood that week too but I’ll be away.
Annnddd to round out the month, The Front Bottoms and Explosions in the Sky.
I kind of took a break in July/August after Gizz residency tour, so I had some catching up to do lol. I also write music reviews, so I try and catch as much as possible.
