What other shows (non King Gizz) are you seeing?

Seeing the Osees for the first time on Saturday in Philly. I’ve been binging their discography this week to get prepared. I hadn’t yet heard Metamorphosed or really mich of any of the other 2020 and 2021 releases. I love their longest songs. Yet, weirdly for me, I got interested in them after hearing A Foul Form. That’s way outside of my wheelhouse but Dwyer’s vocals and the drumming especially got those songs stuck in my head. Can’t wait to see that live.

Checking out Acid Mothers Temple tonight. Tried a lot in the past to get into their avant garde insanity. It’s been hard. Hope they flip a switch for me live

Saw Kitchen Dwellers last night, fantastic band - catch them if you can!

Seeing two nights of Billie Eilish next week in St. Paul… probably not a lot of Gizz crossover but she’s a goddess!

check out The Marcus King Band

Southern rock/older country, but also does blues and a lot of heavy rock/jam stuff. Love his work, and have seen him three times now and never have been disappointed. His voice is golden, like nothing from this era, and his ability to just play whatever the hell he wants for like 15 minutes straight is insane.

An excellent live show from him, whenever you guys can listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtJbfeYbdLs

:peace_symbol: one love, fellow gizzies

I’m currently in Paris for the festival Présences électronique’s 20th anniversary edition at the Maison de la radio. If you like weird experimental stuff, it’s awesome! I’ve had a great time. Definitely not everyone’s cup of tea though. Highlights for me were Jim O’Rourke, Eiko Ishibashi, Matmos and Christian Fennesz & Hildur Guðnadóttir & Stephen O’Malley performing as a trio. All awesome folks worth checking out!

I saw Air too in March. I’ve long been a huge fan of those guys but it was my first time seeing them live, it was such a good show and their new stage setup is incredible. Definitely one of my highlights of the year too. I really hope I can see them again soon and they don’t take another 7 year hiatus from touring; maybe even a new album since they’ve mentioned the possibility a couple times lately, although I’m not getting my hopes up.

Osees are pretty high on my list of bands I’ve not seen live yet but want to, too.

Air was an all timer for me! Amazing production. Thought about Hipnosis CDMX to see it again

Next week is gonna be fun. I’m seeing Godspeed You! Black Emperor in Fayetteville on the 12th and then… well, KGLW in Fayetteville on the 13th. This’ll be my first concert experience in a LONG time, the last major one was I think Buckethead (with Brain and Brewer) in 2017. Been a bit.

So just curious, anyone else going to both shows? Would be cool to hang out with other Gizzhead people at the GYBE show.

Fellow Buckethead enjoyer! Just saw him in Seattle this year (4th time), and it was an incredible show.

I’m heavily considering getting a ticket for the Godspeed show here next year. Their new album has grown on me quite a bit since it came out.

On my docket, I got King Diamond in a couple weeks followed by Emma Ruth Rundle a few days later. Then nothin’ specifically planned yet until Field of Vision, but that’ll likely change soon.
