Iām new here, whatās the deal with the labels around the pads? I mean I figure it helps them play those songs live in some way but I just donāt know enough about sequencers to know what purpose those labels would be there for.
I think the labels are to help remind the user which sample is assigned to which buttonā¦ lotta buttons so itād be easy to get lost and forget which does what. A button with a āYoursā label suggests that thereās a sample from that song assigned to that button.

Hereās a little write-up on todayās announcement that came through Gizzymail:
Proving once more that the appellation āKingā is no misnomer, King Gizzard has just released soundboard (SBD) recordings and āstemsā of their North American tour from its start in D.C. up to Chicago. More SBDs will come as the tour progresses.
Dave, the bandās Archivist, revealed this addition of tour SBDs to the bandās Official Bootlegger site. He also shared plans to release a Bootlegger Bandcamp page for these recordings. Their promise is new SBDs just a few days after each show (wifi permitting).
To fans like us, the immediate benefit is access to the highest quality recordings of these phenomenal shows. KGLW.net will add these SBDs to Gizz Tapes as soon as possible so that they can be conveniently enjoyed from our player.
With patience we can expect a flood of āmatrixā recordings, which many fans prefer even over SBDs. Matrix recordings combine a SBD source with an audience (AUD) recording to create a warmer mix that feels more like actually being there.
The band also released the stems of these recordings, which are the isolated tracks that result in the mix that we hear through the speakers. With these 8-12 tracks per song, the possibility of remixing is endless!
For those of us who have been captivated by live King Gizzard recordings, this has really been the holy grail. As you dig back through the bandās history (even recent history) there are many gaps in the record because nobody was there to record the show. That is a worry no longer!
