Are you going to hit levitation festival this month?

I donā€™t have tickets yet but Iā€™ll probably hit a couple levitation shows! Unknown Mortal Orchestra is top of my list.

Nice!!! Theyā€™re cool. I really wish I could see LSD and the search for god.

Planning to see Leah Senior in Oakland, CA next week and got tix to The Musical Box in December in SF. They are one of greatest cover bands ever imo, covering the Peter Gabriel era of Genesis tours, including many of Peterā€™s original props. They are doing Selling England By the Pound for 50th anniversary. Iā€™ve seen them like 5-6x the last 10-15 years. Still looking at some other shows too, but havenā€™t fully committed.

Returning from my September post, I went to way too many shows and am dialing it back for October lol.

I was supposed to see Frankie and the Witch Fingers back at the start of the month but business trip kept me away.

Civic is next week, very pumped for that. Eggy will be in town mid month but i got to see a festival set from them and was honestly VERY dissapointed. Not sure Iā€™ll see Eggy again, which is a shame because theyā€™ve played Interior People live.

Main Squeeze was another band I saw at a fest but I will 100% be trying to make them again. Incredibly talented band and great soul/funk music.

And then if all goes well, Deadmau5 as Red Rocks end of the month/beginning of November!

And then some local Ohio bands but nobody cares about Ohio lol

Frog Brigade starting soon!

I was at Leah Senior at The Stork Club, a few blocks away from Frog Brigade show. I really love her new album and she played most of it.

Hell yeah, did they jam at all? I was surprised when she told me each show was different, though at that stage it was just a few extra bars off the solos here and there.

Nah i donā€™t think they jammed really, but i could see them mixing it up a bit by playing different old songs. I know they played Graves and closed with Evergreen, but no Bug in a Bath or Time Traveler. They only played like an hour after 2 opening bands that all shared the same set of drums.

It was pretty special seeing her in front of like 25 people and they sounded so fucking good. Although Iā€™m guessing they were hoping for more of a crowd. It seemed like she made an effort to meet everyone that came to see her too. I have really gotten into her last 2 albums, so it was kind of a shock there werenā€™t more people.

How was the show? I only just missed them a few years ago and never had a good opportunity since.

Oh my god it was amazing!! I didnā€™t expect the crowd to be so wild. They did not get tired. If anything, they got more crazy as the show went on. It was like playing bumper cars the whole show. I enjoyed it though.

They played well and I remember some fun banter. They didnā€™t play exactly how it sounded on the studio, but they didnā€™t jam either. They played the song as it felt in that moment. I remember them shredding and hitting it. Interestingly, there were a good bit of people recording the audio on their phones.
