What a smoker! The beginning of McLaughlin’s solo on “Miles Beyond” never fails to give me goosebumps.

Anyone hear of anyone releasing a Bootlegger of the Red Rocks '24 run yet?

My local shop took in a huge collection of 70s and 80s stuff this week and I happened to wander by at just the right moment. Everything is VG+/NM, incl jackets, as if whoever bought them unwrapped them and then left them untouched in a cupboard for 30 years. I dashed back home to get some trades and after a little wheeling and dealing I was out the door with this stack for about $80.

Aphrodite’s Child - 666 ('83 reissue)
David Byrne - Music for the Knee Plays
Peter Gabriel - Birdy
Peter Gabriel - “car”
Peter Gabriel - “melt”
Peter Gabriel - Passion
Peter Gabriel - Plays Live
Peter Gabriel - “scratch”
Genesis - Abacab
Grateful Dead - Europe '72 (80s reissue)
Billy Joel - The Stranger
Paul Simon - Graceland
Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues

When your friend with the 8000+ piece record collection shows up with a crate and says “take whatever you want, just buy me pizza.” A good day after a pretty harrowing few months of work.

I’ve been collecting records for about 20 years, and my collection includes stuff I inherited from my parents, gifts, and mostly records I’ve bought.

I just did a big clean out getting rid of stuff I inherited and just don’t dig, or things I bought and ended up not liking, and brought them to my local shop to sell.

Ended up getting new remastered copies of both Meddle by Pink Floyd and Live at Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers to replace old worn out copies I got from my Dad, and used the rest of the cash to buy the Fuzzclub Red Rocks '24 box set! Super excited to get that in.

Needed a new little switch to help manage my system. Right before I ordered, I noticed they had the option of Free Engraving…

I have been really enjoying GOAT and found that their band camp has a reissue of their 10 year old album Commune for a good price (in the US).

Funny, I got to know that band just some months ago, they’re great.

I’m eagerly awaiting one of the Fuzz Club live 2024 bootlegs (expected to mail out end of Jan). Does anyone know if they post anywhere when a pressing is going out? or do we just wait and it appears in the mail some day, or an emailed tracking number or something?

They typically send out shipping confirmation emails w/ tracking info. I’m in the same boat, impatiently tapping my foot for the Chicago box to ship.

Wow! I’ve never seen one of those in actual denim. Mine merely has a nicely-textured cover.

I think this is a good place to point out that another pressing of Laminated Denim is dropping on March 28, and it’ll be in a lucky rainbow of colors. Here’s a pre-order link.

Found at a flea market of all places. 1975 Japanese pressing of Wish You Were Here. Will have to give it a clean but it sounds good.
