KGLW.net Music League - League VIII: Decades

Here we go! KGLW.net Music League #2! Click that link to sign up and start submitting.

Some details to note about the 2nd iteration of the league:

I took the top 4 categories from the votes above, so we have 4 total rounds.
The amount of points total to spend (20) remains the same.
The amount of songs per person has increased from 1 to 2!
The amount of time granted to submit a song for a playlist has decreased from 2 days to 1 day.
The amount of time granted to listen to a playlist before votes are due has stayed the same (5 days).
Although I started the league just now, I adjusted the due time back to 11pm EST. This is where we had it last time and since we have people from all time zones I’m hoping that time works. So for the first round we will actually have about 32 hours to submit songs and then from then on it will be 24 hours.

As always, if you are in a situation where you need an extension I can always provide that with my special admin powers

I’m very much looking forward to this one, some great categories to look forward to!

Yeah I had fun with this one too, good mix of known and unknown. What determines the order of the playlist @cwar ? Couple of jarring transitions here, particularly into my submissions haha.

I have actually emailed the music league folks suggesting that they should shuffle the playlist every now and then! I dunno if there is any rhyme or reason to the ordering but I have noticed that placement can have a really big impact!

Something my friends group music league does is we do a b-sides playlist. Stuff that didn’t make the cut for one reason or another.

Here’s one of my favorites of all time that regrettably is not on Spotify. This whole album is fantastic and I think I’d probably submit the first song. The album is a collaboration between dj krush and trumpet player the late toshinori kondo.
