Can’t quite put into words just how much fun this weekend was. The insane storm-monsoon, the perfect weather afterwards, this incredible city with amazing people. The food, the weirdo swarm meet n greet at Cobblestone. I heart N.Y.

Fantastic times were had!!!

Has anyone seen anything about a stream tonight?

Should be on the band’s YouTube channel as usual. Shows up here when it’s live:

100%, that shit never gets old! (and we can excuse the stumble at the end of Loyalty, not sure if Cavs was having trouble hearing the band or what).

That Thursday show I’m gonna remember for a loooooong time!

@geogerry I didn’t end up making it over to the Weirdo Swarm meets up, but I noticed during the pre-show B-Roll for Saturday’s show (that was taken from the Fri meetup), there is a clip of the kglw.net table featuring a member of the site team showing off a hard copy of the site’s official tour guide!

how did i not see that the site crew had a table?!? dangit.

Although it makes for a long wait, I always find the long notice on Gizz dates to be good for the soul, because you have this amazing experience on your calendar that you are looking forward to. The flip side of that, is the impending lament that sets in as soon as you get home and you no longer have that thing to look forward to. (Sigh). Hopefully something gets announced this Fall.

Yep, same. This summer has been pretty crap so far, but I always had the Gizz shows to look forward to. Really glad I was able to pull this trip off.

I’d love another Euro tour, esp in Eastern Europe for a few shows… or a Can/Mex residency tour.

My partner and I were recently discussing how an Eastern European Gizz tour would be a fun way to see that region.

Went to their Bulgaria run and it was 10/10 made a whole week out of it, explored Plovdiv during the shows and went to 3-4 smaller surrounding towns for hikes, seeing old soviet monuments, small villages, and then went to Sofia and hiked the Rila national park mountains. Great, great trip. Super affordable and very different from everywhere else in Europe I’ve visited.

Poland is super high on my list, so a few shows there would be an easy decision for me. Also could you imagine if they played in Transylvania??

Those shows in the old amphitheater in Plovdiv seem they would have been great to experience in person.

And yeah, I’d love to go to some European shows, budget permitting, and once we’re sure that the current state department’s sabotage of certain US passports won’t keep a close family member of mine from being allowed onto a plane out of the country.

Canada needs a tour! 99% of their shows here are either BC, ON, or QC. They played 2 shows in AB in 2017, but to my knowledge have never played any other province. A full Canada tour would be awesome.

i was only able to get to the saturday show, but i’d love to return to forest hills. first time visit and it’s a great venue for gizz (i actually like the earlier start time, but i know i’m in the minority there).

I LOVE the early start time - it’s awesome to be out of the venue at 10PM and have all night in NYC to do whatever (or go sleep!) - loved being able to get food and drinks in the neighborhood right after the show.

Yeah, I agree, even if all I did was track down pizza and go to the hotel. It was easier to get up the next day and explore the city.

100%

post-show slice → train → hotel → in bed before 1130 was sooo nice.

After doing some exploring during the day, my secret weapon was a power nap before heading over to the venue.

Pre-show powernap is always a clutch move. Even 15-20 mins can really recharge me, esp on a hot summer day!
