I gotta say, this August has sucked so far. I’ve been sick for almost 2 weeks, my wife has been sick, my closest co-worker has left, house repairs cut our internet connection and it probably won’t get fixed for days. Etc. Tornado warnings?!?
So, I’m really looking forward to feeling better and getting on that train to NY.
Hi all! My spouse and my 15yo and I are flying up from NC on Tuesday. We’ve been to NYC a few times, so we’ll likely just hit some stores or museums during the day and then head to the venue. We have bowl tickets, and hopefully get seats!
Safe to assume there will be a live stream for these shows? Don’t believe I’ve seen it posted anywhere. I know we are spoiled, but at this point I’m assuming there will always be one unless it’s something restricted by venue (or unionized orchestra)?
Hey weirdo swarm! I am bringing my kid 14 yo too Forrest hills Friday and we are beyond excited! My first time at the venue. We’re commuting up via the LIRR. Any tips for going with teens to shows, I am not really a gizzhead and more into trad metal but this is my kids favorite band and it’s been awesome to get into with him! Any advice FH specific or not is appreciated. Is it worth trying to hit the fan meetup or will that be overwhelming?
If it’s your teen’s fav band, the meet up should not be missed Great place to get hyped for the show, snag some bootleg tees/appreciate the talents of the weirdo swarm/meet some cool creators/bootleggers (and other creation-appreciators).
*it is a bar scene, but if that’s not an issue, vibes are high and would be a memorable part of the experience.
Depending on what kinda seats or floor positioning you’re aiming for, there’s plenty of time to go to the meetup and still get to the venue for or even a couple hours before doors.
Just turned on the Night 2 Stream (haven’t seen Night 1 yet), and they’ve got the Chunky Shrapnel Camera lens out! Foreshadowing? Chunkier Shrapnelier?
