Both of those albums are fire. I hadn’t listened to them before, thanks for sharing!
I’ve been listening to Sammy Rae & the Friends -The Good Life. It’s a short but sweet jazz album

A new Stereolab album is not something I had on my bingo card for 2025. What a joyous surprise in a grim year so far.
Hey, I have Billy on right now too, though it’s an audience tape. Earlier it was the first side of American Beauty on my new-ish turntable.
Hey, thanks for sharing that! I hadn’t heard that set before but it’s awesome!
It’s been a Sly & The Family Stones - Fresh day for me. R.I.P. to a legend. I can’t believe we lost two legendary musicians on back-to-back days
One of my favorite bands, Sigh, re-recorded one of their albums from the 2000s and it’s wild how much they did to make this stand out from the original release. This is sick.
Klaatu - 3:47 EST. The band’s drummer Terry Draper recently passed away and I barely saw it get covered. Shame because Klaatu were a cool group. They’re most known for the rumor that they were the Beatles reunited under a new name and the song “Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft” (covered by the Carpenters of all people) but they had a lot of good tracks. This is my favorite.
Very cool! I’ve always wanted to get into Klaatu but haven’t taken the time. Might have to change that later this afternoon when I do my annual summer garage clean-out.
At the moment I’m spinning Hot Tuna’s Double Dose. I’m about halfway through Jorma’s memoir right now (Been So Long) and it’s sent me back to some of my favorites from him. This track is hard to beat for me:
