Ahhh right lmao. Weird because I haven’t watched anything relating to yonkagor in a bit lol
This song is an all-timer
yess!!!
I keep going back to Tropical Fuck Storm’s Fairyland Codex. Such a good album. All of the members of that band are great but I especially like Erica Dunn. Finally picked up her most recent solo album and am giving that a listen. Quite nice. I could see myself listening to this on long drives and late nights like now.
Osees - Protean Threat. Just to set the mood for Off Course, which will get a first listen when I walk the dog in a little while here. Hearing lots of positive chatter so can’t wait!
I really like it. Enjoy!
Pelt, Ayahuasca
Music to Eat (1971)
Reading up on the 90s jamband scene introduced me to this album. As a Captain Beefheart fan, this shit is great!
I’m definitely gonna keep digging into Col. Bruce Hampton in his various incarnations.
Great album! It’s (in)famous for selling VERY poorly upon release. I really dig it, though. WAY ahead of it’s time. “Hey Old Lady and Bert’s Song” gets stuck in my head from time to time.
Calm Ya Farm hitting the spot pre-dinner.
I figured you knew this one! I read it’s known as the second worst selling album on Columbia Records, only behind a yoga album.
Col. Bruce recorded some albums under his name in the late 70s. Pretty good stuff, kinda straight ahead rock.
Glenn Philips, also from the Grease Band has released solo material worth checking out.
Currently putting myself through Even to the Edge of Doom by Bull of Heaven just for the fun of it (not all in one sitting because I just don’t have that ability yet). About 3 hours or so into it so far so uh yayy!!
Nice! I’ve been going through all of their albums in chronological order and am planning to listen to that one this week
Not really the kind of music we usually talk about here, but it’s Oliver Tree today after hearing he was killed in an accident:
Feels like I’m waiting to see it was just a stunt, he took his performance persona far but I suppose he was never insidious enough to fake his own death. Such a tragedy after taking so long between projects to go independent and finally put it together on his own terms. I can’t claim I listened to his music all that much, but I did see him live once and am feeling weirdly emotional that the world has lost an artist like this.
ooh good luck! ![]()
