Well known King Gizzard fans

Since we now know that Nicole Kidman is probably the most famous King Gizzard fan (or her husband/mamangement), what other well known people have publicly supported King Gizz?

There are some commonly known ones too like Trey Anastasio, Jello Biafra, and movie director Edgar Wright:

Another Aus music shirt day has come and we have Zan Rowe representing:

She’s interviewed them a few times going back to 2012 so not hugely surprising, but nice to see from an icon of Australian music media.

Lucas also stated in his recent appearance on the vinyl guide podcast that Eric Andre is a fan of theirs, and he’s an old friend of their manager.

I only recently saw the Simon le Bon interview where he mentioned Gizz being an influence on the then-recent Duran Duran album, which was a huge surprise. But he’s the only one I can think of you haven’t already mentioned.

He and Trey were both at a Gizz show a few tours ago.

Trey might be the biggest Gizz fan out there! I really hope he can catch more shows in the future. Part of me thinks he only booked those mission ballroom shows just so he could see King Gizz at red rocks in ‘23!

In addition to Trey, others in Phish world are fans as well:

Mike Gordon has been an admirer as far back as 2019 (maybe longer).

Phish Creative director Julia Mordaunt has been spotted in live stream viewings and follows their socials. Her man Robert Walter (noted keyboardist) is probably a fan as well….

Last but not least, the author of The Phish Book, Richard Gehr, has gone to many shows.

Let’s not forget Billy Strings.

Outside of music world, I thought I read somewhere that Eric Andre was at Forest Hills?
