Speakers

Not that dumpster fire — the kind that’s hooked up to your stereo. Whatcha got?

I just connected up a pair of Norman Labs Model 7s (1975 I think?) and a selection of King Gizz sounds amazing on ‘em. [1]

I also have had KEF Calinda SP 1053s hooked up for ages so am quite used to their warmer sound. (Got a pair of Paisleys too but they need a lil TLC…)

Added boogie, equipment

We are adopting some two-month-old kittens soon, so I’m moving the Normans & KEFs up off the floor onto mantlepiece/bookshelves… damn they sound good up there, shoulda done it sooner!!

I’ve got a 3.1 setup from Salk, custom made in Koa wood - RAAL Tweeters and SEAS woofers along with a 12" Rythmik sub, mainly listen to vinyl on my Musichall MMF 7.3SE w/ Sumiko Moonstone Cart. Spent a lot of time during the pandemic honing this setup.

Its currently boxed from the move but I’ve got a pair of ELAC Reference bookshelf speakers with a Yamaha A-S301. Also managed to pick up an open box 10 in subwoofer from ELAC at a crazy price.

I was considering upgrading to new floor speakers at some point but the new tiny home finished soon is only 215 sq ft, so the 10 in. sub will cause earthquakes as it is lol
