It’s really interesting to hear it described as “conventional”! It doesn’t feel very conventional to me, and I don’t mind convention anyway; to me it just has a very cheesy, southern/country rock sound (a la Lynyrd Skynyrd) that’s simply not my thing, and doesn’t really connect to me emotionally the way most of the rest of their music does. But that’s okay! I’m sure I’ll love the far majority of their future output!
