So, I listened to Made in Timeland on my drive to work today. The drive is just long enough to fit in the whole album. The first thing I had today was a meeting with my boss. We’re sitting there talking shop for a few minutes and she mentions a colleague’s questionable reasoning by saying, .“..ya know, it’s all smoke and mirrors.” I nearly burst.
Thought I’d start this thread for any random moments when King Gizzard shows up in your life.
A few days ago I walked into a record store near me, first time stepping into this place, and not 2 minutes in “Lonely Steel Sheet Flyer” started playing in the shop. I don’t hear gizz in the wild very often so it definitely stopped me in my tracks for a moment.
Was driving home from a rafting trip this summer, towing my raft. Some folks passed me and got my attention and were nodding, doing the rock on symbol 
and smiling. I acknowledged, thinking how weird it was they were THAT into rafting. That time of year in Idaho people towing rafts is pretty commonplace.
pulled into a rest area a few miles up, and looked at the back of my van, and realized, “oh they were Gizz fans!” as I was reminded of my favorite Xmas present I got last year
Today, while driving:
Me: [restarts PDA album from earlier in the day] [Dragon comes on] [volume up]
Driver at light: [signals me to roll down my window] “You (somethingsomethingsomething) Dragon (something something) car!”
Me: “…………..What?!?” [turns stereo off]
Driver: “You have something dragging under your car!”
Me: “Ohhhhhhhhhh……thank you!”
(It was a plastic bag.)
