Hey there. So I recently-ish got a vinyl copy of Made in Timeland that, much to my surprise, had a code for MP3s. It was the ATO pressing in plain black vinyl, a surprising upgrade over my Laminated Denim, which was colored (Artery Red) but a lot more expensive and without the code. Right now I’m eyeing a copy of Float Along/Filled Your Lungs, also made by ATO, which is the Venusian Sky version. Does anyone know if this has an MP3 code? And in general, do we know which vinyl pressings of albums tend to have them? I’d like to know what to look for.
I have a couple ATO pressings incl. FAFYL - i’ll check for codes when I get home but don’t seem to remember it being there.
Have you checked the individual pressing on Discogs? If the entry was made correctly, it should state if a DL code is included or not. For example, scroll down to the notes section for this pressing of Fishing For Fishies:

Be sure to check reviews too. Sometimes they fill in missing details.
(I looked at that version of FAFYL on Discogs and sadly I don’t think it comes with a DL code.)
Venusian Sky doesn’t have it to my knowledge. Rule of thumb is that if it has a cardboard outer sleeve it doesn’t have a code. I actually don’t think FAFYL ever came with an mp3 code. The 2018 reissue series (Willoughby’s, 12BB, Eyes, Float Along, Oddments) didn’t have them, at least.
Also the Timeland code is a bit odd. Last time I checked it just directed to a joke .txt file.
Oh, well that’s a bit disappointing. Seems like Gizz is a band that doesn’t do this sort of thing very often. At least the conformation on Fishing for Fishies is nice.
I think the last (music) download code I saw was the Paper Mache Dream Balloon variant with the instrumentals. I really loved how common download codes were with ATO up until 2020. They always threw in good bonuses too like the KEXP sets.
