Magma is a French progressive rock band founded in Paris in 1969 by self-taught drummer Christian Vander, who claimed as his inspiration a “vision of humanity’s spiritual and ecological future” that profoundly disturbed him. In the course of their first album, the band tells the story of a group of people fleeing a doomed Earth to settle on the planet Kobaïa. Later, conflict arises when the Kobaïans—descendants of the original colonists—encounter other Earth refugees.
Vander created a fictional language, Kobaïan, in which most lyrics are sung.

OK So I’d like to keep everything pretty much the same. We should have 2 new friends in the music league this time (hi @lucid and @rowdy) at least, so the points should thin out a bit.
Let’s do another 4 round league. I’d like to introduce a year category… they are my favorite rounds and we haven’t done one yet, so would love to throw one in here. Normally it would be a random year but @W.B.T.G.Slinger suggested 1967 so lets do that year to start. Anything released in 1967 (master, avoid greatest hits albums, remasters etc) can be in this category.
So for the other 3, here are the categories on the sheet that haven’t been used yet. Feel free to vote if you care to! Feel free to abstain if you wish.
- Noise subgenres (Noise: noise rock, no wave, experimental, avant-prog, industrial, field-recordings, glitch, etc.)
- Underground (Share a song by an artist that has less than 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify)
- Hate Dancin’ (A song you love by an artist you hate)
- 18+ (Only songs with dirty lyrics)
- Year 2123 (Songs that sound like they are from the future)
- Party (Songs to liven up the energy at a party. Dancefloor tunes etc.)
- Hip-Hop (No one ever seems to talk about Hip-Hop on the forum!)
