Does anyone know of a good site or resource for KGLW guitar and bass tabs? I’ve been self-teaching myself for about 2 years and want to jam to KGLW but am terrible at playing by ear so I still need tabs
Ultimate Guitar has a lot. Check out this fan-compiled Google Sheet as well.
Sweet, thank you for sharing that! You’re the best!
I decided to start learning the guitar a month ago or so and have been practicing a decent amount. I can play some chords, scales, 12-bar blues, and strum a bit. It’s been a lot of fun messing around and making stuff up. Yet, I haven’t learned any songs that I could play in full and sing. What would be the easiest Gizz songs to learn on an acoustic guitar? I was thinking I should go to Willoughby’s and 12BB. Is that a good call?
I’ve got an Alvarez guitar that I got as a birthday present from my parents probably 27 years ago. Still haven’t learned, but I think this time is going to be it!
If you can do barre chords, It’s Got Old is pretty simple.
Bone is really simple. Pretty much just D-A-C-G with the little riff in there.
You can pick up on the early stuff fast. Willoughby’s Beach is just C to F. Danger $$$ is B then E and D. Muckraker isn’t too bad.
Am I In Heaven is pretty much all F#, E until the verse which is B, F#, F#m again and again until A to B.
Yeah, I’d like to learn a few songs, too, but I’m so out of practice that I’d be almost starting over. And I was never really more than a long-term beginner anyway. ![]()
but am terrible at playing by ear
Yeah, this is my biggest problem….having to learn by reading, since even if I accidentally get something right, I’m probably in the wrong key. ![]()
Apologies if this is old news here, but – for some inspiration, this YT playlist by “Stacker” has a bunch of really nice covers they’ve done:
Still practicing! I’ve been making progress but can’t say that I’ve mastered any Gizz songs yet. I might have been getting ahead of myself a bit. But learning how to just play different chords and get strum patterns down has been fun enough for me to keep picking up the guitar.
So, I’m now really tempted to get an electric guitar. I learned the opening to Superbug so I have something cool to play as I test them. Wish me luck. I have no idea what I’m doing but I know that I want to be able to crank up an electric guitar.
I don’t get a lot of time to practice my “playing” (small house, so it’s hard to not to be annoying when others are around), so the only thing I’ve learned so far is the very intro part to Magenta Mountain. There was a tab online that covered most of it, so it was easy enough to learn.
I need to figure out more of it next, since I’m a bit hung up on that song these days.
