Introducing Gizz Tapes!

Thank you. Not trying to pick on you or anything for sure but I just figured you’d like to know just in case. Thanks again!

Also introducing Gizz Tapes Android app!

Big thanks to @jamie for making an API I could use to make this app possible. With that I was able to create an Android App you can get from the Play Store or from our github repository. The “full” version includes the ability to cast the audio to cast enabled devices. The “foss” version does not include this feature due to limitations of the library and restrictions from f-droid app store, which we will hopefully be in soon!

There’s defiantly more to come, and I’d love your feedback, or even some help if you’re willing. Please submit issues here Issues · Ghost-Applications/gizz-tapes · GitHub

Lastly, I wrote the networking layer with Kotlin Multiplatform, which should allow others to consume it fairly easily. The main idea for this was to use it in an iOS and Desktop app. No promises on anything but once I get a few more features straightened out I hope to spend some time in this area. I haven’t published the library anywhere yet, but if anyone out there is interested in that please let me know.

We also now have a dedicated Gizz Tapes account on Bluesky, where we’ll be announcing new features and shows as they’re added to the website and app!
