Whoops not you, was replying to Z…

I did and as I already mentioned it lacks context. Most of what happened in the Palestine region since the end of the 19th century has not much to do with Zionism. If you read pretty reliable sources like wikipedia most of it happened because of progroms, wars, failure of the ones in power like Britain, that was unable to handle the situation in their mandate territory orderly and made promises to both side which it, of course, could not fulfill and persecution of Jews in Europe, Russia and other places. Most Jews didn’t even went there because they were Zionists, they went there because they weren’t safe anymore in the places they used to live in.
I really can recommend to read the book I mentioned, it’s a good one that shows both sides of the story, beginning in the early 20th century, mentioning quite some things that happened earlier in history, up to about 2012. I can’t tell you if an English version exists, I found a sample of it, so I assume it does.

Unfortunately, the really interesting part begins after this introductional story, which is just a hook for the story he really wants to tell.
Edit: From page 37 onwards you might get a better idea about this book.

Here’s some context which is not from a historical fiction novel…

Can’t read that, I’m not going to create an account. However, from what I can see, “After 50 years of failure to stop violence and terrorism against Palestinians by Jewish ultra nationalists”, that’s hilarious.
Israel has been ultra nationalist for 50 years now? There never was Rabin? There never were honest efforts by Israel to achieve peace in the region? There never were wars against Israel started by their Arabic neighbours and violence against them for almost 70 years now?
Please stop being that onesided.
Besides, I mentioned other sources than that book, which is in my opinion pretty well researched and a good summary of what happened in that region during the last century.
Wikipedia really is a good point to start, a lot to read, but worth it.
Nobody needs to share my opinion, but I remember that back in the 80s it was totally clear that Israel needed protection from Arabic aggression. The “Iron Dome” wasn’t put into existence for no reason.

As stated, nobody needs to share my opinion, but nobody can tell me Israel was the only aggressor all the time, my memory tells me something different. See both sides, not just one.
