funny accidental KGLW rabbit hole

So, we were watching a video that mentioned a cinder cone in the Mojave Desert. I knew it was a volcanic feature, but looked up “cinder cone” on Wikipedia.

And the rabbit hole went “Cinder Cone” → “Scoria” → “Pumice” → “Pumice Raft” (which is where a undersea volcano throws out pumice that floats on the ocean surface.)

And sometimes people wrongly think that a pumice raft is actual land and put it on a map, so there was a link to “non-existent island,” which actually liked to a page called …. “Phantom Island.” :smile: Yes, I’m easily amused.

(And yep, that page says, “For the King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard album, see Phantom Island (album).”)
