Sup gator gang! First post but long time lurker here on KGLW.
I’ve been doing some digging on Meadows Creek, mainly looking at r/Billystrings to figure out what’s people’s biggest gripes have been with Renewal in the hopes I get some good intel on festival traffic going in on Thursday. But I haven’t been able to gather any info on how heavy traffic might be getting into the festival based on folks past experiences (I.e. didn’t see any specific horror stories).
With typical festivals I know traffic getting in normally isn’t great and usually you spend a decent amount of time waiting for your turn to get your car searched and get to your camping spot. I’ve been to Mondegreen, All Good, Mountain Jam, etc., so I know traffic….jams (pun intended?) can and will happen, especially considering most venues are down backroads
With that said, I’m coming out of town and trying to figure out if I’ve given myself/crew enough time. Getting into Denver at 6pm. Checked bag, and getting a rental car, so I feel like I’m on the road by 7:30pm baring any major hiccups. I know it’s a 2hr 30 min/3hr drive from the airport to camp, so I figure worst case is that I get to Meadows Creek by 10:30/11pm.
According to FoV/Meadows Creek website they’re letting people in from 12pm to 11:59pm Thursday
Do you think I’ve got enough time to get through traffic and into camp Thursday night?
Appreciate any guidance from fellow heads/Colorado residents/Meadows creek experts lol
Peace love dope
