Hoping for my first (overdue) Hypertension, Head On/Pill, Big Fig Wasp, Altered Beast Suite 1-3 (or more!), Let Me Mend the Past, Sea of Trees, and so much more. This is going to be a wild weekend!!
BTW: my fishing gear is packed!

Am I missing something about the live stream? Websites link to their YouTube channel, but no stream there. What I found after a long search is this one:
I’m living in the future, will already be the 16th here then.
People on site what are the mutants available at the merch? I’m curious to know if they made any new one
did I see Open Water cans?
It is pretty stunning here. Took a trail run to get a little elevation and take in the whole Arkansas River valley.
FoV is a little silvery sliver 2/3 of the way across the valley…
Such a killer show last night and followed up by a morning on the Arkansas River. Good times out here at FoV.
@AlteredBeef that’s awesome! There’s a chance we (we’re a family of 3) rafted by you this morning! The kiddo absolutely loved the rapids.
This long time Phish fan has been infatuated with all things Gizz for a few years now. Cross posting my recommendations for anyone planning on hitting up FOV 26
Get an Airbnb in Buena Vista near Main St. 5 minute drive or shuttle to the gate. Get brunch Sunday at the Surf Hotel. Fest owner also owns that place. Locals pick up their wristbands there. The French toast and the elk chorizo are dank AF. That’s the shuttle stop on the back end of Main and the other in front near the Lariat. Stayed at a hotel in Salida Thursday a half hour south. That’s the closest Walmart for propane, sunscreen etc. I also hit the one in Frisco but accidentally left my bags in the parking lot lol. If flying into Denver hit Mayfair liquors. Picked up Focal Bangers and Sip of Sunshine cans. Able to drink from your own cooler everywhere but the main stage. Super easy to come and go from weekend parking. Also highly recommend renting a Porsche Cayenne or something with front, rear, and center differential. Driving it up Cottonwood Pass was the highlight of the trip for my 23yr old. Also tons of places everwhere to set up a hammock. Hope this helps
Everything about this fest looked amazing. So jealous. Zero Gizz for me this year has been tough.
The vinyl box sets are going to be SICK.
10 of 10, would highly recommend.
Such a positive experience for our family of 3 with a young kid. Met other families there. We stayed downtown and commuted to the site each day with ease. The ability for spouse and kiddo to drive back when the kiddo crashed before the end of the show, while I could take the local shuttle back at the end of the show was a game changer.
I agree with the Airbnb rec. we stayed at a condo four blocks from the shuttle pick up. Those suckers ran constantly. Only waited twice all weekend and no more than six minutes. You avoid camping and can easily avail yourself of the tons of stuff to eat etc in BV.
If you like us live at sea level (our house is half a mile from the Atlantic and about 80ft above sea level) get a scrip for Diamox. I had zero altitude symptoms and no side effects. Totally worth the 12 bucks four days of the drug cost me.
We are both in our 60s and don’t do fests and aren’t crazy about outdoor gigs but this was a perfect way to do FOV. We got to indulge in just enough of the madness while still living like normal humans the rest of the time.
And the shows! We’ve seen Gizz nine times this year (5 in Europe, the New Haven orchestra show and FOV) and man the playing this weekend was on another level. The jams were focused and modular in a head-snapping kind of way and for me nearly every song was a contender for best version ever. Not sure how they continue to level up almost every night. Imagine if the Dead had been able to do that post hiatus…the 80s would’ve been a whole different decade.
Does anybody still have the price list for FOV 25? There’s a slim chance I could go next year, and it would really help to know what a full-weekend admission and a tent site cost this time.
Thanks!
I haven’t seen a general FOV thread being resurrected yet, so
Stoked af to see Die Spitz gettin some love and representing the hometown ![]()
Got my ticket secured! I’m so excited to be back in that place. That was my first trip ever to Colorado last year. It’ll also be crazy to think that a year will have passed since my last Gizz show….unless some other tour dates get released.
Bought tickets for my partner and myself, can not wait to party in the rockies again with the swarm. Already started next years boot projects as well.
