Already saw them acoustic this year in the Motor City and have tickets for NOLA, think I might have to fly out to hit the past present future trifecta
Can’t make it, but so excited to hear it. Tiny venue too. Probably be a 2024 highlight.
Also hidden in that news is LA is a marathon set now! Wooo! Am hitting that and SD (never seen an acoustic before).
I was expecting the California run to be the highlight of the year by virtue of 4 shows… but this just cements it. Cali or bust!
Detroit was my first show. I knew once I saw these guys in person that I’d become obsessed and boy was I right. Feels like when I first discovered GD and Phish 25 years ago.
Snagged tickets for me and a buddy yesterday! So stoked.
Already had LA (marathon!) and SD planned. Regretting not planning around hitting the whole full CA run from the get-go. Oh well - I GUESS I have to at least see the Stanford show now too…
I thought they weren’t on sale for another hour?!?!
Presale yesterday from the gizzmail
Right you are! 2 tix Cop’d!
God that had to be an interesting first show lmfao. Was such a blast but also probably the most distinct show I’ve ever been to.
doh…didn’t even realize the presale started yesterday and there are still tickets available. Thanks!
may tickets be this easy for as many years as possible
First Microtonal acoustic and the acoustic debut of my favorite song (crumbling castle, sure they were drunk by then and kinda butchered it) but how could I not be? I watched most of the rest of the tour live from my couch and knew I needed to see a normal gizz show. This rave set is just gonna be icing on the cake and will be an old friend from HS’s first gizz experience!
Dang real sale sold out immediately. I had two friends who missed the presale and didn’t get through the queue for the main sale. If anyone snagged one or two extras… Let me know
daaaaaamn, must really be a tiny venue
Its only 1400 capacity listed and that seems high. Ive only been there to see Musical Box several times, the amazing Gabriel era Genesis cover band. They always have chairs set up and no way there were 1400…maybe half that.
Oh I fully expect it to be ass to elbows packed…
did anyone get tickets in the general sale at 10:00? I knew it was gonna be a hard ticket but it seems to me that something got fucked up.
Do we think they will play anything besides a 90+ minute Silver Cord? I’d love to hear Gondii, Magenta Mtn, and some B3K debuts a la Catching Smoke or Blue Morpho…
I’m personally thinking it’s gonna be just the 7 TSC songs. Good chunk has regularly run 15 mins and TSC’s debut was almost 28 minutes, there’s enough to fill the time.
You’re probably right but it does feel like a great opportunity to bust out some Butterfly3000 material for the first time
