CHICAGO & more Demos! More to come?

Exciting stuff today! I’m expecting Gizzmail within the next couple of weeks.

Speculation, but do you all think we’ll get more US Residency releases? I’m hoping and thinking we will. Perhaps Washington and Red Rocks bootlegs and a more official release for The Caverns and Hollywood Bowl? Or Caverns bootleg and just Hollywood Bowl for official release?

Exciting! Also some synth based Demos on Volume 5 & 6, maybe to be transformed and put on the new record?

Thoughts? Hopes? Wet dreams?

There’s no way we won’t get the bowl. I’m hoping for a caverns release too

So glad Chicago finally gets a bootlegger release, we’ve been shafted for a while. AND they used the color variant of the poster that I have for the cover! Very exciting.

I think we will get them all eventually. I think Gizz kept Nugs on a tight rental leash because (one of many reasons lol) they’re going to release them all themselves eventually. Good to have just the audio version though and in the greatest quality available.

lmao at the Venusian 2 demo, sounds like gibberish ad-libbed lyrics just to fit the syllables in.

Still listening to the Chicago recording myself. Just started up Ice V. Looking forward to those demos but I had to relisten to this crisp recording of these shows.

The introduction to Self-Immolate is pure :fire:. Six minutes of a deep slow burn before we go insane-o!!

The demos are pretty cool, Blue Horse is fun and Invisible Face works really well as an acoustic jazz piano version.

Was hoping for some stuff off the scrapped hiphop album on demos, but I suppose it is what it is! Still easily my favorite demo set so far.

They’re not demoing it because they want to release it on the world, absolutely no context to completely destroy the hip hop scene (I’ll let you decide if that would be for good or evil).

Is there a funkier run of songs than Chicago’s Hate Dancin’, Astroturf, and Down the Sink? I remember so well dancing hard to Hate Dancin’, then Astroturf started and I was like…ohhhh shit! NOW it’s time to dance. And then Cookie took center stage for Down the Sink. I wasn’t prepared for that to be even funkier than the first two. I really got down to that one (sorry to those I bumped into). Damn I wanna go back.

Ambergris from Acoustic night and Seattle would like to have a word with your funky argument. Red Rocks got Astroturf>Hate Dancin>Down the Sink, but I think Chicagos was better and had a little better flow feel to it. Plus Cookie suggested doing Down the Sink doggy style which was one of my favorite moments from this last US Tour

Residency wise I would be surprised if Hollywood Bowl didn’t make it. Caverns N3/N4 could be strong candidates. Still shocked they went with Chicago out of the gates. I’ve seen people speculate on a compilation of best moments from the tour but that seems strange to me. Doesn’t sit with me right.

I don’t think anything we heard on Demos will be on the new album. Just going off what we know about it I think that it’s practically ready to go. They could be good indicators as to what the new album could sound like though. “Music To Think Existentially To” is a jam.

Yeah I’m surprised they did Chicago quickly, but it gives me hope that they might bootleg release all locations and perhaps officially release Hollywood Bowl. One can hope, time will tell!
