As far as I saw there is no thread for Cavs solo album. Can’t stay like that!
There are some really good tracks on it, “Dancing Tony in Cuba 1959” for sure is one of my all-time drums solo favourites, only fault it has is it’s too short. Overall some really good drums/percussion work, would like myself some more solo releases.

Sojourn! Great album, right? Hate to see it being overshadowed by the Gizz album announcement. Anyone have favorite tracks? I really like the really chill ones like The Seeker, but the tunes that are a little more out there like Death Bat are pretty great, too. I definitely think I’ll have this on repeat for a while.
Emerald Nile is my favorite right now but the whole album is strong. Feels like a step up from the debut, which was good in its own right, just wasn’t this cohesive and fleshed out imo.
I like this leagues above the debut, on my second listen now and this is definitely going to be in the top albums of the year for me. Such a great vibe throughout, and it sounds fantastic.
Favorite track is a toss up between First Light and Death Bat
Right away, this album made a strong impression on me and my affection just keeps growing. I got a chance to listen to Sojourn closely on my daily commute today and really found myself digging some tracks that hadn’t stood out as much before. My two latest favs are Emerald Nile and Boitatá. I’m also really noticing Joey’s badass bass playing.
Surprising how much instrumentation there is apart from percussion! Plus Cavs is credited with writing it. Really nice vibe, may be the closest thing to Jazz from any Gizzard/Gizzard adjacent project I think. It kind of feels like early 60s post-bop.

Seriously! It keeps accompanying a lot of my daily life. That album just seems to fit the moment…all of the time.
