The Stick Men are back with a tribute to the THRAK era of King Crimson. What I’ve heard of it so far is very good.
I like it a lot, got both reels on bandcamp and will have the CD on the way. Very much looking forward to Beat incorporating some Thrak tunes this fall.
New album by Evanescence.
Yeah I think the AdP crowd will dig SC3 especially if they tailor their set to certain songs.
I haven’t heard that Cicneros Sleep yet. I saw the Sleep reunion show in SF with Vhol and it was rad, though honestly I was more excited for Vhol cuz I’m friends with ¾ of the band. They were both great. I wish Vhol had had more chances to play live.
I was two spins in before I heard the news about Tom Hardy. I listened to Czarface a bunch before but hadn’t paid attention to the Frankie Pulitzer parts on an earlier album. I like Hardy’s style. He has like 3 distinct voices he uses on that. Well 4 if you count the weird Bane rap.
Subscribed.
New Ezra Collective album is great!
Jazz from the UK continues to kill it.
Krallice has stripped back the synth and electronic percussion abstractions of the last few years and returned to their more classic progressive blackness with their new album.
I’m seeing them open for Slift next month. Very excited.
I saw them recently opening for All Them Witches. I had liked the singles that came up in suggested radio, but they were pretty damn boring live. Not to talk shit, just manage your expectations.
Edit. I replied wrong.
I didn’t mean to comment on Rhododendron.
Sorry.
Wait are we talking about Rhododendron or King Buffalo here?
I saw King Buffalo open for ATW and thought they were great
Sorry. King Buffalo.
I just recently watched King Buffalo’s Rockpalast Show at Freak Valley and didn’t find them boring neither.
I don’t know what you consider boring about them, no idea.
OK, can’t figure out where I first saw this (thought it was on the forum….), but I have …. several questions. ![]()
Is this somebody’s long-running sincere project, or a recent addition to the mask/costume/wig trend?
There needs to be a name for this trend, it seems to be almost its own subgenre at this point. “anonyrock”?
