Show was seeek
They hinted around being sick, but I can barely understand these Australian MFers lol. Less stage banter but there was so much intent and listening. They’re in full jamband mode. I couldn’t ask for anything more dialed than Hot Water through Magenta. Got hit in the mouth with a 20 ft dreadlock. Seems like they bailed on something at the table but that Magenta jam will get many spins. $$$$

Wow. Still processing this show a couple of days later - my first KGLW show and the largest concert I’ve been so far. I finally get it now, just the whole culture around it all and being in the pit and meeting all these folks in the line… holy shit. The community surrounding this band is really something else. (Already trying to figure out how to go to FoV next year, ha.)
The line that started up was pretty close to the front doors of the venue so we’d occasionally overhear bits of soundcheck. For the sake of notes I’m like 75% sure they soundchecked Cut Throat Boogie (heard the riff from it) and 99% sure they also tested out Le Risque (heard the bass and drums for it mostly) but it was kinda hard to hear. Neither were on the setlist so who knows.
