I loved the Down the Sink, haven’t listened to yesterday’s show yet, but the criticism I could make about Nathan jamming is that it’s often more a landscape of sounds above the drums and a bass line that are keeping things together. I think it’s why some people are not big fan of it and it would be nice if they manage to have jams with more “purpose” in what they do. I liked the last Kepler-22 b even if it was a completely different song but I think it showcased the difference between the soundscapy and purposeful styles. I still love the experimentations on the table and every time the bring it I’m on the edge of my seat. Also if you guys know bands which experiment and jam like this on synths I’m very curious I don’t know any artist who plays live in this sort off configuration

well said! i actually like that sound of almost chaos, floating on the rhythm section, quite a lot - but not always, especially when they’re reinventing old songs. you make great points
