Alien Metal!

They released both singles on Tuesdays, the 2nd being 2 weeks after the 1st. I’m guessing they drop the last single tomorrow with an announcement of a FOV release date. Not the boldest call, but that seems like what’s in the cards.

Song rules and the video concept was rad. Stoked for the album

I always treat records as my “personal item” (on top of carryon) on a plane. Separate tote bag (and records inside in a mailer), that I either put safely overhead or hold on to near my seat. No issues so far.

Congrats you 100% called it!!

Almost - still no official release date!

Hey, fresh to the forum but been a Gizzhead for over a year.

Kill for the Steel feels like they’re circling back to Silver Cord styles, electronica and such, after the more old-school sounds of B741 and Phantom Island. Hoping to see where they innovate this time. Had a harder time enjoying TSC, to be honest.

Currently working my way through the new album, officially drops tomorrow (to confirm all of our suspicions). Let me know if you have questions!

Now that you are listening to Alien Metal, how do you balance work and family?

Barely, is the answer. Taking a half day and heading to FoV area (getting in tomorrow) here this evening!

Juggling the demands of work and family while also prioritizing recreational activities can prove difficult in this modern age.

The wait is over!

This alien moves from “We don’t wish death upon you” to “hayyyyy cutieee” pretty quick

Superheavy supercritical makes me think of Acarine, maybe it’s not the exact same melody but there is something clearly similar going on

:alien::fire::alien::fire: seems very well executed, haven’t given it a fully focused listen yet but really digging the energy. Probably the least distinctively ‘Gizzard’ album ever? As in you could more easily mistake it for someone else.

Amazing first listen just now. Fucking killer album.

Pretty, pretty cool. I never listen to anything like this (not dissing the style, just unfamiliar) but Gizz makes it their own like anything.

I was really expecting the full pronunciation of “unquadtrium” so “you cutie” was a real laugh.

Listened a few times last night and it was incredible. Superheavy, Supercritical and Sapience are my two favs.

Listened to it on a loop about 4-5 times since last night. I like how well it flows. Was a big fan of the europe rave tour so had high hopes and it mostly landed really well for me. Supercritical/superheavy and uqt have been stuck in my head all day. I think i like uqt the most because of how heavy it sounds with what sounds like guitar but the when your feeling super hook is really strong. My only minor gripe is i wish they added some more guitar and maybe some live drums as i think the jams from the rave tour that involved the rock instruments stood out the most for me. But this is really good can see it being divisive though as this feels like a pure dance album than their other electronic stuff.

I give it about a 7-8/10

Looking forward to hearing it live as i feel like their elctronic songs are even stronger live.

I’m just glad Gizz is back to making music directly for people on drugs :alien:

Can’t download the album! It was released after our internet cable got shredded and pulled off the pole. Temporarily safe from the noseworm-infestation download I guess…
